Rimouski

Well, here I am in my new home for the next 9 days: Rimouski, Quebec. My quartet just finished our first rehearsals, and I think the concerts will be great. We will rehearse twice a day for the next 2 days, then our first concert will be Saturday night. It has been foggy and rainy, so I can't say much about the landscape, but I can see the St. Lawrence river from my room. The air here smells like the beach because the river is salty; if I close my eyes I can picture myself here.

I'm delighted to have found an internet connection in the room, which I wasn't expecting. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that "fadda," whoever he is, keeps his internet connection unsecured and available. My cell phone also works, hooray!
